Nella loro venuta al mondo i The Devil and Joe Joseph (Joe Joseph, Emily Doyle e Billy Beale) si esibiranno in un ciclo di nuove melodie dallo stile Gothic- filmic Americana- nella quale, in un clima da spaghetti Western, gli accordi delle due chitarre si scontreranno fino all’ultima nota con il ritmo palpitante di una vecchia drum-machine.  

Per la prima volta live al Reset Festival, The Last Lost Highway  non è solo una performance acustistica ma la colonna sonora di un filmato on the road. Diretta da Joe Joseph Frascina, artista e voce degli ex The Hungry Ghosts, e l’artista e animatrice speriementale Shiyi Li, la performance artistica The Last Lost Highway è un progetto audio visivo-multimediale in cui un’animazione live si fonde con proiezioni di pellicole Super 8 e diapositive 35 mm nel racconto di storie silenziose, gas station americane, motel stregati e città fantasma.

The Devil and Joe Joseph from Birmingham, UK are pleased to announce their first visitation on Friday 26 July 2019 at Reset Festival. In our first appearance on earth Joe Joseph Frascina, Emily Doyle and Billy Beale will perform a cycle of new songs - Gothic, filmic Americana - where Spaghetti Western guitars stab through the pulsing electronic heartbeat of an old drum machine. Our performance will provide a live soundtrack our very own road movie, The Last Lost Highway by Joe Joseph Frascina, the artist and voice of Birmingham’s now dead The Hungry Ghosts, and experimental animator Nico (Shiyi Li) which will be on view for the very first time at Reset Festival - an experimental expanded media video performance which combines animation with Super 8 film and 35mm slide projection to tell tales of silent, sleeping gas stations, haunted motels and desert ghost towns.
